Jennifer Schellenberg
Jennifer has been a server/bartender for 20 years in various concept styles and cities throughout the Twin Cities/metro area. She is currently an employee at Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub and was instrumental in organizing 7,000 servers and bartenders in the fight for a tip credit in Minneapolis. Jennifer is currently mobilizing the community in St. Paul for the same cause.
Joshua Chaisson
Joshua Chaisson is a professional server with 21 years of experience in the restaurant industry. After attending college for Hospitality in Colorado and working in several states he has returned to, and presently resides in Portland, ME with his husband Nestor. Joshua is a leader within Restaurant Workers of Maine and worked tirelessly to help reinstate Maine’s Tip Credit in 2017.
Valerie Torres
Valerie Torres grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. After completing her BA at Georgetown, she went on to get her Masters in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University. Since graduating Valerie has been found behind the bar in Washington DC, for the last 20 years. Valerie was inspired to get involved in the tip credit preservation fight by being instrumental in getting Initiative 77 overturned in her home city.
Simone Barrone
Simone Barron has been in the service industry for 35 years. She has worked all over the country from the Midwest to the West Coast. She has worked in many types and styles of restaurants and held just about every position. She is also a founder of the Full Service Workers Alliance Seattle, a grassroots workers group providing support to Seattle full service restaurant workers.
Ryan Aston
Ryan Aston is a professional bartender in Washington, DC. He's worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years, and he was active in lobbying to retain the tip credit in the District of Columbia.
Maggie Raczynski
Maggie Raczynski is the proud mother of four young daughters. She has been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. She is currently a bartender in the Albany area of New York but has worked many positions throughout the restaurant. She got involved in the fight to save the tip credit in New York in late 2017. Her passion led to a victory in New York when Governor Cuomo decided to leave the tip credit in place.
